Raoin [trivia] sorry, I dont know you, so id treat the question like I
     would at work with a client

Rosuav [trivia] Not too bad, Armon, yourself?
Armon [trivia] this is h1lar1ous. Rosuav is getting asked for step by step
     walkthrough of what he did to eff up his machine
Xanu [trivia] I'm logging this.

Rosuav [trivia] But it was completely not routing to localhost
Armon [trivia] I'm ok. been playing a lot of Amtgard lately so I'm been
     pretty tired and sore
Rosuav [trivia] Everything worked externally, but nothing locally. I think
     it was a routing issue.
Armon [trivia] Xanu be sure to email me that log ok?
Rosuav [trivia] He's pinging now, so I'm going to restart BIND and Postfix
     and see if things work again

     in the other window
Rosuav [trivia] I did, however, need to ask for help. It's part of the
     rules of the universe that as soon as you ask for help, you solve the
     problem yourself.
Raoin [trivia] rosuav Im to assume your a pretty smart guy? And yes that is
     a very valid universal rule

Rosuav [trivia] Yeah, pretty smart... You may have noticed that people
     boggled at me asking a question, although that's largely because my
     reputation exaggerates me.
Armon [trivia] Rosuav is not a person. he is a sentient computer program
     that was uploaded to threshold
Rosuav [trivia] But normally, I'm the one _answering_ these questions.
Lucinda [trivia] this is why he never sleeps
Armon [trivia] when you try to google "Rosuav" it responds with "what do
     you want"
Xanu [trivia] Armon, should I add a date so we can remember this day as
     "The Day That Ros Asked For Tech Help"?
Armon [trivia] yes Xanu, you should
Xanu [trivia] And time, obviously.
Armon [trivia] this is I think the third time since I started playing
     threshold that Rosuav didnt know something about a tech issue, and the
     first time he asked for help. unless you count stuff like "when was
     this <insert random tech invention here> first available?"
Raoin [trivia] good stuff, Im an pen tester/scripter/IT Nerd for the police
     dept here, im nothing to special but im pretty nerdy, ever need
     anything just ask, and im always up for codding something
Armon [trivia] I'm the cook/printer geek. and random knowledge guy
Lucinda [trivia] I never seen Ros not know something
Armon [trivia] and cell phone obsessed guy
Lucinda [trivia] When I am work and I have a issue...I think about how do i
     get to a computer and ask Ros

Armon [trivia] he once had a printer issue I helped him with, that was the
     first time he didn't know how to fix a tech issue that I know of

Armon [trivia] I've done that actually. at a friends house hopped on thresh
     to ask Rosuav what to do

[trivia] Xanu needs to learn how to edit logs faster.
Lucinda [trivia] When someone ask me a tech question in the house.  I refer
     to Ros like it is  a household name--like Bill gates
Armon [trivia] we spent a good five hours trying to work it on, ask Rosuav,
     fixed in 3o seconds
Rosuav [trivia] Luc, you're probably right to do that. With most problems
     that you'll come across, I'll either know or be able to find out.
Armon [trivia] I miss the days of our Rosuav jokes
Rosuav [trivia] The trouble is, when *I* get in trouble, I've already spent
     half an hour with Google and various docos.

Rosuav [trivia] You mean the Chuck Norris knock-offs?
Armon [trivia] yea
Rosuav [trivia] Some were lame, others were funny
Armon [trivia] like when you google Rosuav it responds with "what do you
     want? I'm playing threshold"
[trivia] Xanu smirks in amusement
Armon [trivia] or Rosuav doesn't sleep, he sleep modes
Xanu [trivia] Rosuav doesn't sleep, he shuts down one program and runs
     another.
[trivia] Rosuav agrees wholeheartedly with Xanu
Armon [trivia] Rosuav once got in a car accident. it was known as the web
     crash of 91
[trivia] Xanu rolls on the floor laughing
Armon [trivia] who remembers the web crash of 91? anyone?
Rosuav [trivia] Nah, I was still recovering from the major scalding of '90
     then.
Armon [trivia] ah
Xanu [trivia] I turned 1 that year, so I don't remember much of that time.
